Young Survival Coalition: we like what you’re up to.
|Last week's "We Can Survive" Concert at the Hollywood Bowl, featuring Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding & more|
Imagine an entire stadium full of women. Young women dressed in pink, singing along with the performers on stage and screaming at a sky erupting in fireworks. Sounds like a typical chick concert, right?

Now try to imagine that a significant number of those women have very personal reasons for being at that specific concert. Many of them are survivors of breast cancer. Singing along to Katy Perry (”roaring”, if you will) about never being kept down, about never giving up, is for them a real cry of conviction. For them, this chick concert is a celebration of strength.

We would like to take a moment to recognize the Young Survival Coalition for giving these women a reason to celebrate. The Young Survival Coalition is a non-profit designed to educate young women about breast cancer, empower them with support and knowledge, and connect them with one other through personal meetings, conferences, phone calls, e-mails, forums, and more. They offer great services for newly diagnosed patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare providers all in an effort to promote better, more cohesive care for patients at all stages of breast cancer.
We at Nephosity like the idea of cohesive empowerment, too. It is our hope that in providing breast cancer patients with the opportunity to upload their mammogram images onto Jack Imaging to share with their healthcare providers, get second opinions, or even discuss with other breast cancer survivors and mentors, we too can foster more cohesive, patient-centric health care. So again, we’d like to say thank you to The Young Survival Coalition. We see what you’re doing - and we like it!
